Early Monday afternoon Dori returned to her nest at the Gulf Tower to relieve her mate Louie of incubation duty.
I happened to be watching the webcam at the time. At first I thought Dori would sit on the eggs immediately but she got distracted and started to putter, so I captured the snapshots for a slideshow. (Click on any image to see the slideshow in its own lightbox.)
Yes, I put words in her mouth. Terribly unscientific. But I couldn’t resist.

p.s. The slidehow repeats.
its nice to have a chuckle in the morning.
also very fun!
Wonderful slideshow, Kate! It almost seemed like she forgot from last year just how to do this. I’m glad she finally settled down and got back to work. 🙂
Awww, I love it! Thanks for posting that Kate, definitely made me smile. By the way, I think your captions are dead on. 🙂
Smiling here too, Kate!! Great job! Thank you.
Love the captions – so appropriate, and put some excitement into The Big Sit!
Jennie, I’m laughing about your comment, because at about 11AM this morning, Dori has one egg pushed to the side 🙂
You are so clever. I had not been able to check out the activities the past few days so I really enjoyed watching your slideshow. Captions are perfect……..I’m sure Dori would be pleased!
Didn’t get into here until this even(Wed) needed a chuckle by then for sure. You are so clever, your next career could be script writing. You bring us such enjoyment, birds, eggs, stones, whatever it takes, just simple folk out here.
I am so far behind on everything! I just watched the slideshow. What a hoot! I needed a laugh on a dreary, rainy Friday here in PA.
Love the captions! 🙂
