I predict that the first time most people notice that big flocks of crows are back in town will be during evening rush hour on Monday November 5.
Can you guess why?

Time change?
Because of the time change….they will heading to their roosting area earlier?
Yes. The crows will be on the same schedule. They go to the roost at sunset; rush hour will now be at sunset too.
I have my camera and tripod at the ready …. the strip district at around 20th st and up on Bigelow by the “French Fry” statue are 2 of the best places to see it (there’s a service road in that little parklet)
about 1500 just passed over the shadyside Giant Eagle. just the stragglers are left now. they did wake up a pair of hawks near UPMC Shadyside though which are now up and circling.
Thanks for that information. On election day I witnessed what looked like 400 crows squawking and flying like they were going somewhere special. It was 5:30PM near Negley Ave. in Pittsburgh. I wondered where they were headed it was amazing. From reading I hear that they gather to roost probably now I see heading to polish hill to those safe trees. Just amazing. I was joking that they were going to vote…
