I read your blog post from 2010 linked above Kate, and just as you mentioned in that post, I recall crown vetch being grown to reduce the need to mow. I’m not a fan of mowing and have always liked alternative ground cover ideas. Anyhow, interesting read about the issues with crown vetch. Speaking of ground cover, aren’t our grass lawns not really native as well?
