April 1, 2018:

This Easter we have four eggs at the Cathedral of Learning peregrine nest that Hope laid from March 6 through March 14.

Ten years ago Easter was on March 23, 2008 and on that morning Dorothy laid her first egg of the year. Read more here about her Easter Egg.

Happy Easter.

  1. Hi Kate! Have you noticed the two peregrines who seem to be roosting at the East Liberty Presbyterian Church? I noticed them last night–there is a great view of them and their activity from the big windows at Dinette! They were so active last night!

    1. Elaina, no I haven’t yet. I’ll go see soon. Last year a pair of red-tailed hawks claimed that steeple. I wonder if they’re back.

  2. Oh! Hmm, I wonder if it was them, then. They looked more like peregrines in flight, but that was just me eyeballing (didn’t think to bring my binocs to dinner!).
