Happy Fourth of July!
Like the U.S. flag these birds are red, white and blue.
- Northern cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis)
- Great egret (Ardea alba)
- Indigo bunting (Passerina cyanea)
All of them occur in Pennsylvania but only two breed here. Can you name a state where all three nest?
