Dori, the female peregrine at the Gulf Tower, laid an egg last night.
We couldn’t see that she had four until both she and Louie were away from the nest.
In this photo you can see Louie on the left, nearly hidden by the pillar, about to come incubate the eggs.
The egg count is Pitt: 5, Gulf: 4.

Well maybe the low pressure from the oncoming storms yesterday brought the eggs too. Wow, wonderful. Lot of work ahead for both nurseries next month.
PS: See there are now 4 out in Harrisburg also. Food must be plentiful for all the mothers.

My friend was watching the cam during the storms Wednesday afternoon and said she saw Dori being pelted with hail! 🙁 I hope she is okay!
The gulf nest seems so much cleaner than the Cathedral nest!
Yes, Dori is fine. Peregrines are strong birds. She had a job to do (protect her eggs) and she did it well!
